Darwin Bio Orchestra Concert at Royal College of Music London

The Royal College of Music Junior Department students produced compositions inspired by the 12 locations in and around Luton, performed by the Bio Ensemble, all whom are Senior RCM students and RCM Sparks Mentors. Images taken by the artist Gayle Storey from each location, were projected alongside the performances to give a sense of that place of where the music was influenced.. These can be seen in full with music, within this blog towards the end.

Working with partially sighted student Alexia provided an opportunity to adapt my work so that it was inclusive and accessible to her requirements. Recreating the visual lines through the production of sculpted forms, enabling her to see through touch, which could then be translated into sound.
