testbeds arts elevator  is an opportunity for Luton-based artists and artistic organisations to take their organisation to a new level of impact.

Arts Council England want to help artistic ventures in Luton flourish, and create long-lasting change in the creative industries in the town. £160,000 of Arts Council England National Lottery funding has been ring-fenced for Luton. We aim to support the development of proposals to access some of this fund to help develop artists and organisations in Luton. To do that, we asked specific community artists and arts organisations to help us build a programme of support.

you told us what you wanted

We asked targeted organisations in Luton to tell us what was needed in a programme of support.  This is what we gathered:

  • You want practical help with refining funding applications.
  • You want development in business planning and financial forcasting.
  • You want help with long-term planning, particularly in time management, audience development and long-term goals.

this is what we will deliver:

Key mentoring relationships: Each artist or arts organisation will be given a dedicated mentor in the community for the duration of the programme of support.

Tailored bid writing support for large-scale bids: Your bid will be refined over time with experts who have experience with large-scale bid writing.

Expert training in business planning and building a resilient organisation: Training and development from University of Bedfordshire and sector experts.
